Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel

Hello beauties ๐Ÿ™‚

Rubybox sent me this Neutrogena Hydro Boost moisturiser to test and review. I do have normal to dry skin so I was so excited to try this product. Keeping hydrated is so important not only for your skin, but your overall health too. There’s nothing worse than dehydrated, dull skin.

I’ve been using this moisturiser for a week now and I am impressed. Although I must say that it is very different to most moisturisers that I have used before. The reason for this is that all the moisturisers that I have used, has a very creamy texture and is quite “heavy” on the skin. This one from Neutrogena  is the opposite. It has a gelish/watery texture that is super lightweight. At first, I thought how will this moisturiser keep my skin hydrated all day because it’s not creamy?

As soon as you apply this moisturiser, it absorbs instantly. If you looking for a dewy moisturiser then this is not it. It’s very nourishing, but almost gives you that matte finish.

So apparently this moisturizer has a continuous release system, which means that your skin will stay hydrated all day long. I feel that this statement is true. My skin doesn’t feel dry throughout the day and this moisturiser is great to wear under your makeup.

It also contains Hyaluronic acid which is naturally found in the skin which helps to replenish the epidermis with a boost of hydration and retains water to create a reservoir. It also protects the skin barrier and continuously releases moisture all day.

My skin does feel very smooth, supple and very hydrated. I like that it’s lightweight and it also has a very pleasant, fresh smell to it. It’s a moisturiser that your skin needs and it’s oil-free!

Let me know if you have tried this moisturizer before and what you think of it ๐Ÿ™‚

Also, it might be a great moisturiser for my skin, but not so great for yours because we’re all different.

Speak to you soon!
